You can permanently delete your Veloro account, and the information linked to it, at any time. This page explains how, what is deleted, and what is kept.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Veloro and log in.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete Account at the bottom of the screen.
- Read the confirmation, then tap Delete.
Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out. This cannot be undone.
If you can no longer open the app
If you have uninstalled Veloro or cannot log in, you can ask us to delete your account instead. Email us from the address registered to your Veloro account and say that you want the account deleted. We may ask you to confirm the account is yours before we delete it.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription
Subscriptions and free trials are billed by the App Store or Google Play, not by Veloro, and deleting your account does not cancel them. If you do not cancel, you will keep being charged. Cancel before or after deleting your account:
What is deleted
- Your profile: name, email address, phone number, university, sport, state and profile photo
- Your deals, income, expenses, tax estimates and business deduction records, including receipt images you uploaded
- Your budgets, budget categories and savings goals
- The conversations you had in the app while logging deals and expenses
- Saved card nicknames, and any feedback you sent from the app
- Your referral code and any free months you earned by inviting friends
- Veloro's record of your subscription (this does not cancel it - see above)
- Your Face ID sign-in setting and every device you are signed in on
- Records of how you used the app
What is kept
- Deals your university created for you. These are part of your university's own records, so they stay with the university, no longer linked to your Veloro account.
- A record that an invite link was used, if you joined through one. The person who invited you keeps the rewards they earned, so the record stays, with your account, name, device and network details removed. Your email address and phone number are replaced with a one-way code that cannot be turned back into the original, which stops a deleted account being used to claim the same reward again.
- Purchase notifications from Apple or Google that arrive after your account is deleted. These are kept to investigate billing questions and are not linked to your account.
- Technical server logs, which refer to accounts by a number rather than by name or email address. They are deleted automatically after 25 days.
- Anything the law requires us to keep, as described in our Privacy Notice.
